History of Pastor Ben Strunk
Having been in church since he was “knee-high to a grasshopper”, Pastor Ben is extremely grateful for being brought up in the body of Christ. He received the Lord personally into his heart at age 13 and began to minister in youth retreats one year later. Feeling the call of the Lord into ministry during his senior year of high school, he followed the Spirit’s leading to attend Oral Roberts University. Pastor Ben graduated ORU with an undergraduate degree in church ministries/evangelism and completed grad school with a Masters of Divinity. During the past two decades the Lord has graciously allowed him to be involved with youth ministry, outreaches to nursing homes, hospital chaplaincy work, taking the gospel to those in prison, teaching college theology courses, helping found a Christian school, speaking engagements at various churches, and over a decade of service in pastoral ministry. In 2007 God brought Pastor Ben and his wife together in holy matrimony. Next to Jesus, relationship with Terry is the greatest joy that he has ever known. In the year after being wed, Benjamin Dewey Strunk III was born and another Bill Gaither fan was brought into the world! In 2009, Pastor Ben and Terry felt led to begin Grace Christian Ministries. The church has grown since that time and moved into its present facility in September of 2010. Feeling a call to preach the Word, disciple believers, and reach out to the community, Pastor Ben and Terry are privileged to serve alongside a body of Christ of the like same faith in ministering to East Fort Myers for the glory of God!
